Middenspanningsnet 10kV Amsterdam

I am performing a thesis study using GIS and I am in need of a map layer of the 10kV lines in the municipality Amsterdam. I see that this information will be available in Netkaart V5.0. I was wondering if this section has been completed yet? Or if there is somewhere I can find this information and recreate the layer on my own? Thank you (and excuse the use of English).

Hi there,

There are currently no plans to incorporate the 10kV middenspanningsnet of the amsterdam region (not in V5.0 nor in future releases). The reason being that we simply do not have the information needed for this (whish is the same info that youre seeking).

Im curious how you concluded that it will be available in V5.0?
We need to adjust this information as it is untrue.

Sorry that we cant help you with this.

You might be able to obtain this information via Kadaster (certainly as a Klic-melding).
A traditional Klic-melding however for this large area will be costly, but Kadaster might be supportive of a thesis study and work with you. I would advise you to contact Kadaster.

Look at that, a fellow student doing GIS as (part of) a master study.

Next to Kadaster, it might be an idea to directly contact the local grid operator. The 10 kV grid in Amsterdam is property of Liander, part of the holding of Liandon. In this the luck kan be found, Liandon is a forerunner in digital grid data.

A month ago at Wageningen University the GIMA conference took place. Maybe you might know or at least heared about it. Liandon was present, showing what they are planning to do with augmented reality (applied as projecting cables at the ground). In their presentation about this, a part of a village block in the town of Dronten was shown. All 10 kV cables and local transformers were pinpointed out in great precision. Liandon plans to open this data in the future.

I don't remember the name of the presenter (it was a woman aged about 35, I guess) and I only got a small business card with the name of a Liandon recruiter on it (useful, but not in this). So, a direct reference to a responsible person I do not have, but of course you can try to contact Liander yourself. The presentation at the GIMA day showed that they are open to ideas.

Thank you Hans and BaDu for the information. I will continue my search with Kadaster and Liander directly.

BaDu - I found this information on the 4th paragraph on the February 11th post on the main page. Perhaps I misunderstood the information when translating from Dutch to English. But now that I reread it, maybe its only about the transformer stations and not about the lines themselves.

Thank you again for the help and I appreciate the work being done here!
