The new line will also carry the 110 kV-circuit from Birkenfeld to Pforzheim-East. Actually it is installed on pylons for two circuits built before World War II. Until 2003 they carried also a 110 kV-circuit from Pulverdingen to Birkenfeld, but after the section between Pforzheim-Nord and Pinache was dismantled also two conductors of the remaining section of the line north of Pforzheim were removed from the towers.

The motorway Karlsruhe-Stuttgart with Tower 12 of Facility 7620. Tower 12 is one of the two towers of the new line branch realized so far. The other is Tower 16, which can be seen in the background left of the motorway.

One of the three powerlines serving for the electricity supply of Stuttgart is Facility 9374, which runs from Stuttgart-Mühlhausen substation to Stuttgart-Seewiesen substation. The towers of this line are designed for four 220 kV-circuits, however only two circuits are installed and interestingly the voltage of these were set from 220 kV to 110 kV.
Originally on the ground conductor of this line there was a communication cable like a garland mounted, but this cable was replaced together with the old ground conductor by a new ground conductor with integrated communication cable.
Interstingly numerationof towers of this line start at Stuttgart-Seewiesen substation and ends at Stuttgart-Mühlhausen substation, although the energy is transported vice versa into Stuttgart.
Here a picture of tower 1, the last pylon of this line before entering Stuttgart-Seewiesen substation. Since I know, it has all three crossbars although the lower one was never in use.

The next tower of this line has only two crossbars and its original insulators for 220 kV where replaced by such for 110 kV.

On
http://www.hoogspanningsforum.com/viewt ... &start=810 , I posted pictures of two temporary pylons near Haigerloch, whose erection was necessary, as one stainer, which was in danger to fall into a quary, had to be replaced there.
On November 5th, 2022 I was again at the location and nothing has changed.

De poster van die Engelse berichten is geen Nederlander, en kent de taal dan ook niet. We zijn wel er blij met zijn foto's!
Als dat Engels een probleem voor jouw is, dan kan je met Google xlate je eigen vertaling maken... zie:

In this thread pictures of the tallest electricity pylons in Germany, the pylons of "Elbekreuzung 2" may not miss. These pylons, which were built from 1976 to 1978 are used for a 1170 metres long span across Elbe river with a clearance of 75 metres southwest of Stade. For the realization of this crossing two 227 metres tall towers with three crossbars in a height of 170 metres, 190 metres and 208 metres were built, which are capable of carrying 12 conductor bundles, each with 4 conductors across Elbe river.
Both pylons have in their centre a steel tube, which houses a self-propelled elevator and which carries a spiral staircase at the outside.
The lowest crossbar has a length of 56 metres, the length of the medium crossbar is 70 metres and the upmost crossbar is 57 metres long.
All crossbars have runways with railings for access to the anchor points of the insulators.
When the line was inaugurated already all 12 conductor bundles were installed, but only in the form of bundles with two conductors and from these conductors only 6 were used.
Then in the 1990ies a 110 kV-line for the German railway company to Schleswig-Holstein was required and for this purpose 4 of the 6 unused conductors were used for this line.
However in 2018, it was decided to extend this powerline to its full extend. Therefore the line of the German railway company was moved to "Elbekreuzung 1" and new conductor bundles, consisting of 4 ropes were installed.
