Tower 162 of Facility 337, a 102.2 metres tall tower of Facility 337 (Powerline Philippsburg-Pulverdingen), which is situated on the eastern side of Whirl Stream Valley south of Vaihingen an der Enz.

110 kV-branch from 380 kV/110 kV-line Pulverdingen-Oberjettingen (Facility 318) starting at Tower 54 (right) and Tower 55 (left), which are situated Southwest of Sindelfingen-Maichingen. The towers and the branch were built in 1971.

Tower 54 of Facility 318, the northern branch tower at which the branch to Sindelfingen starts. It was erected in 1971. Originally on its only a single conductor, which ended blind at Tower 52 (strainer in the background) of Facility 318, one branch circuit and the blind circuit on the right of the lowest crossbar were installed. In 1973 the 380 kV-circuits on the both upmost crossbars were installed. In 1979 the circuit on the left side of the lowest crossbar was installed and connected to the branch. At this time also two conductors on this pylon were installed, which ended blind at Tower 52. Four years later, in 1983, to these conductors a third conductor was installed as one built at those days the first 110 kV-circuit to Pulverdingen. In 1990 on the right-half of the lowest crossbar the second circuit to Pulverdingen and the second circuit of the branch were installed. In the section between Tower 54 and Tower 52 therefore the single conductor, which was hung up in 1971 and consisted of a bundle of two cables was split into two single conductors.

Tower 55 of Facility 318, the southern branch tower at which the branch to Sindelfingen starts.

The branch from Facility 318 to Sindelfingen substation has to cross the old 380 kV/220 kV-line Hoheneck-Herbertingen, which was built in 1929. As the Towers 113 and 114, between which the crossing is realized were originally too low, they were put in 1971 on 14 metres high basements., so their height is now 53.5 metres. On this picture Tower 113 is shown.
